As Genshin Impact prepares for its highly anticipated Version 5.5 update, titled “Day of the Flame’s Return,” players can expect an array of thrilling updates set to launch on March 26th. This expansion brings significant changes to Natlan, enhancing both the storyline and gameplay mechanics. Among the highlights, controller support for Android devices is finally being introduced—a major milestone for mobile gamers.
The narrative deepens as adventurers delve into the southwestern region, home to a new tribe, a towering volcano, and intriguing new characters. The Great Volcano of Tollan holds ancient mysteries within its sleeping sacred city, requiring players to explore its depths and unravel the enigma surrounding the "Flamelord’s Blessing" and the "Little One." Alongside this journey, players will encounter the Collective of Plenty, a tribe valuing physical prowess and integrating strength trials into their daily lives.
Two new playable characters join the lineup in Version 5.5: Varesa and Iansan. Varesa, a 5-star Electro Catalyst wielder, possesses the unique ability to restore Phlogiston after food consumption, providing valuable support beyond combat scenarios. Iansan, a 4-star Electro Polearm user and one of Natlan’s six heroes, combines offensive power with continuous healing when triggering the Nightsoul Burst.
During the first phase of Event Wishes, players will have the opportunity to acquire Varesa and Iansan, accompanied by Xianyun’s rerun, followed by Xilonen and Venti. For a sneak peek at these additions, check out the official trailer embedded below.
Returning fan-favorite events such as the Bloomflower Trials introduce fresh challenges, including aiding ailing Saurians and navigating obstacle courses with baby Saurians in "Saurian Treasure Seeker." Successfully participating in these activities grants the chance to invite Ororon for free.
