Genshin Impact Leak Teases Version 5.0 Characters

Genshin Impact is introducing two new characters in Version 5.0, and a new leak has revealed their exact weapon type, rarity, and element. Compared to the bountiful floods of Sumeru and Fontaine, Natlan has fittingly been a drought when it came to leaks. Not much is known about the upcoming region in Genshin Impact, and what little information exists beyond official channels only provides a basic explanation of what players might expect in Version 5.0 and beyond.

That being said, the Genshin Impact community has still gleaned some information about upcoming Natlan characters, even if some of these tidbits have been controversial. The three major insights into Natlan imply that Genshin Impact will raise the cap to Level 100, Xbalanque will be some type of immortal being such as a Dragon Sovereign, and the new Pyro Archon will resemble a colonizer in some way. For Genshin Impact players primarily interested in the gacha aspect of the game, the latest leak provides an important clue about Version 5.0 and the characters that will be making their debut.

The leak comes from FouL, one of the most reliable sources in the Genshin Impact community, and claims that Version 5.0 will launch with three new characters – a male 5-Star Dendro Claymore, a female 5-Star Hydro Catalyst, and a female 4-Star Geo Polearm. This confirms an earlier leak that claimed Natlan's initial set of patches would introduce two Catalyst 5-Stars and one Claymore 5-Star to the Genshin Impact roster.

Upcoming Genshin Impact Version 5.0 Characters

Male 5-Star Dendro Claymore Female 5-Star Hydro Catalyst Female 4-Star Geo Polearm

Given that Kaveh is the only Dendro Claymore in Genshin Impact, a 5-Star character with the same weapon and element type is more than welcome. However, between Kokomi, Mona, Barbara, and Neuvillette, a new Hydro Catalyst is hardly a daring choice. The 4-Star Geo Polearm character could potentially be Iansan, who was introduced in the Travail teaser as a fiery brawler from Natlan. However, most players speculate that Iansan will be the other Catalyst 5-Star in the Natlan lineup, and thus likely to feature in Version 5.1 instead.

It should also be noted that a separate leak claims Version 5.1 and Version 5.2 will each feature only one 5-Star, though the exact details are currently unknown. Natlan is expected to improve upon certain Cryo and Hydro characters, such as Shenhe and Ayato, and Emilie in Version 4.8 may synergize with a few teams that don't yet exist. Version 5.0 is expected to launch in late August 2024, but players can expect to see an official preview of Natlan and its characters soon.
