One of the most delightful aspects of social interaction in Final Fantasy XIV is the extensive range of character emotes that enhance player engagement. Here's a detailed guide on how to acquire the Photograph emote in Final Fantasy XIV.

As part of an exciting collaboration with Fujifilm's Instax, Final Fantasy XIV's Patch 7.18 introduces the charming Photograph emote, available to all players at no cost. This delightful addition lets you simulate taking photos throughout the vast world of Eorzea.

Unlike many other emotes in the game, which are often locked behind quest completions or require a purchase, the Photograph emote is automatically added to your Emote menu upon logging in after the patch update. Ensure you have downloaded the latest patch, and the emote will be ready for use without any level or expansion requirements.

To activate the Photograph emote, navigate to your Emote menu under the "Social" tab. Scroll to the "General" section and select the "Photograph" emote. Your character will then mimic taking a photo with a Fujifilm-style camera, capturing a Polaroid moment. For frequent use, consider adding it to your Favorites.

Although the Photograph emote is not continuous and isn't ideal for "AFK" scenarios, its versatility allows for use in various settings, including underwater in locations like the Ruby Sea or while mounted on a ground or flying creature. This can lead to fun, Inception-style pose moments with your character.

Patch 7.18 marks the final update before the substantial Patch 7.2, set to release in late March. Players can anticipate new dungeons, a revisit to the Arcadion, Cosmic Exploration, and more exciting content.
