Launching October 31st, 2024, the Truth Enforcers Warbond adds more than just cosmetic flair; it's a substantial gameplay boost. According to Katherine Baskin, Arrowhead Game Studios' Social Media and Community Manager, this Warbond provides players with the tools to truly become Super Earth's elite enforcers.Warbonds function similarly to battle passes, using earned Medals to unlock content. However, unlike typical battle passes, these are permanent unlocks. Purchase the Truth Enforcers Warbond for 1,000 Super Credits via the Acquisitions Center in your Destroyer ship's menu.
The Truth Enforcers Warbond centers around upholding the Ministry of Truth's unwavering principles. Expect cutting-edge weaponry and armor sets designed to enhance your Helldiver's combat capabilities.
Show your allegiance with the PLAS-15 Loyalist Plasma Pistol, offering both rapid-fire and charged shots. Need more firepower? The SMG-32 Reprimand is a rapid-firing submachine gun perfect for close-quarters combat. For crowd control, the SG-20 Halt shotgun switches between stun rounds and armor-piercing flechettes.
Two new armor sets, the UF-16 Inspector (light armor) and UF-50 Bloodhound (medium armor), are included. Both feature red accents and capes ("Proof of Faultless Virtue" and "Pride of the Whistleblower" respectively), and boast the Unflinching perk, reducing stagger from enemy hits.
Beyond armor, expect new banners, cosmetic patterns for your hellpods, exosuits, and Pelican-1, plus a new "At Ease" emote.
The Warbond also introduces the Dead Sprint booster. Maintain your sprint and dives even when out of stamina, at the cost of health—a high-risk, high-reward option for critical maneuvers.
Helldivers 2's Future: Addressing Player Base Concerns
Despite a strong initial launch (peaking at 458,709 concurrent Steam players), Helldivers 2 experienced a player base decline. This was largely due to initial account linking restrictions impacting players in over 177 countries. While reversed, access remains limited in those regions.
The Steam player count dropped significantly, though the August Escalation of Freedom update provided a temporary boost. Currently, the Steam count hovers around 40,000 (excluding PS5 players).
The Truth Enforcers Warbond aims to reignite player engagement. The new content's appeal to both returning and existing players could revitalize the fight for truth, justice, and Super Earth.
