iOS and Android Players Can Now Stealthily Subway Surf

Author : Blake Jan 17,2025

Surprise! Sybo Games has quietly released a new Subway Surfers title, Subway Surfers City, on iOS and Android! This soft launch brings enhanced graphics and many features refined over the original's long lifespan.

Currently available in select regions, Subway Surfers City appears to be a direct sequel, addressing the aging aspects of the 2012 original. Expect familiar characters, updated hoverboards, and a visual overhaul.

The iOS soft launch includes the UK, Canada, Denmark, Indonesia, Netherlands, and the Philippines. Android users in Denmark and the Philippines can also join the fun.

A Bold Move?

Sybo's decision to create a sequel to its flagship title is a gamble. The original game's Unity engine is showing its age, limiting potential. The stealth launch is an unusual strategy, particularly given Subway Surfers' global popularity.

We're eager to see player reception and the game's full release date. Until then, explore our top five games of the week or browse our continuously updated list of 2024's best mobile games!
