Author : Ethan May 13,2025

Microsoft has unveiled an exciting lineup of Xbox Game Pass titles set to join the service in the first half of April 2025. This diverse selection includes both first- and third-party games, promising a robust gaming experience for subscribers. The list features titles such as South of Midnight, Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition, Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition, and more.

According to a recent Xbox Wire post, the month kicks off strong on April 3 with the addition of Gearbox Software’s Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition (available on Cloud, Console, and PC) for all tiers. Joining it are All You Need Is Help (Console), Still Wakes the Deep (Xbox Series X | S), and Wargroove 2 (Console), all of which will be available on Game Pass Standard. This initial wave promises to keep Xbox enthusiasts engaged throughout the month. Following closely, South of Midnight (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X | S) and Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition (Console and PC) will be added for all Game Pass subscribers on April 8.

Play*South of Midnight*, developed by Compulsion Games, is set in the Deep South and promises to be one of Xbox’s most anticipated releases of the year. Microsoft’s official description highlights its unique appeal: "Explore the mythos and confront mysterious creatures of the Deep South in this modern folktale while learning to weave an ancient power to surmount obstacles and face the pain haunting your hometown."

The excitement continues with Commandos: Origins (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X | S) joining Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on April 9, followed by Blue Prince (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X | S) on April 10 for the same tiers. Wrapping up the first wave of releases, Hunt: Showdown 1896 (PC) will be available for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers on April 15.

In addition to the new games, Xbox Game Pass perks are also being refreshed for the first half of April 2025. Highlights include the Beyond the Void Bundle for The First Descendant, the Sweet Starter Pack for Candy Crush Solitaire on mobile devices, and an anniversary Seventh Serving Emote for Sea of Thieves fans.
