Monster Hunter Wilds 2nd Open Beta Test Date Revealed

Monster Hunter: Wilds' Second Open Beta Dates Announced

Capcom has announced the dates for the second open beta of its highly anticipated title, Monster Hunter: Wilds, scheduled for two weekends in February 2025. Building on the success of the first beta (late 2024), this second beta offers another opportunity to experience the game before its official launch on February 28th, 2025.

Monster Hunter: Wilds is poised to be a landmark entry in the franchise, promising a vast open-world adventure filled with diverse environments and challenging monsters. The initial beta provided a taste of the narrative, character creation, and some early hunts.

The second open beta will run across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam during these periods:

  • February 6th, 2025, 7:00 pm PT – February 9th, 2025, 6:59 pm PT
  • February 13th, 2025, 7:00 pm PT – February 16th, 2025, 6:59 pm PT

What Awaits in the Second Beta:

Capcom confirmed returning content from the first beta, including character creation, the story trial, and the Doshaguma hunt. A new challenge awaits with the addition of a Gypceros hunt, a fan-favorite monster returning to the series. Furthermore, characters created during the first beta can be carried over, saving players the time of recreating their hunters.

While the first beta was largely well-received, some players raised concerns about certain visual aspects and weapon mechanics. Capcom has addressed this feedback, assuring players they are actively working to enhance the game's quality before release.

This second beta is crucial for both Capcom and fans, offering a chance to further refine the game and build anticipation for what could be the most ambitious Monster Hunter title yet. Whether you're a returning veteran or a newcomer, February 2025 promises an exciting hunt for all.
