Netflix Unveils Historical Epic "The Rise of the Golden Idol"

The Golden Idol Returns: Netflix's "Rise of the Golden Idol"

The iconic Golden Idol from the 18th century is back, but this time, it's 1970s! Netflix has surprised us with the early release of The Rise of the Golden Idol, a sequel to The Case of the Golden Idol. This isn't your grandmother's mystery; it's set three centuries after the prequel, amidst the groovy disco era of bell bottoms and nascent fax machine technology.

What's the Story?

Centuries after the original Cloudsley family saga, the Golden Idol's legend persists, albeit in whispers and myths. This resurgence piques the interest of a diverse group: relic hunters, cultists seeking enlightenment, and a team of scientists, all eager to unravel the Idol's mysteries.

Players take on the role of an investigator, piecing together bizarre events linked to the long-lost artifact. The Rise of the Golden Idol features 20 cases, ranging from unsettling to supernatural. Examine evidence, identify culprits, and uncover their motives. Expect a colorful cast of suspects: suspicious convicts, eccentric TV personalities, and corporate figures harboring dark secrets.
