Author : Elijah Jan 22,2025

Niantic is launching a special end-of-year Catch-a-thon event in Pokémon Go, giving players another chance to catch Community Day Pokémon and earn exclusive rewards, including Shiny versions of featured creatures. This event makes up for missed community events throughout the year.

The Catch-a-thon takes place on December 21st and 22nd, from 2 pm to 5 pm local time. Featured Pokémon include:

  • December 21st: Bellsprout, Chansey, Goomy, Rowlet, Litten, and Bounsweet.
  • December 22nd: Mankey, Ponyta, Galarian Ponyta, Sewaddle, Tynamo, and Popplio.

During the final ten minutes of each hour, players can encounter Porygon, Cyndaquil, Bagon, and Beldum. The event also boasts 2x XP for catching Pokémon and 2x Stardust, along with other rewards. Check the official Pokémon Go site for complete details.
