This week, Best Buy is offering an incredible deal on the official Asus ROG Ally Charger Dock, slashing the price by over 50%. Originally priced at $65, you can now grab it for just $29.99. This charger dock isn't just for the Asus ROG Ally; users have confirmed its compatibility with the Steam Deck as well. If you're in the market for a more traditional docking station, Amazon has also reduced the price of the Anker 6-in-1 USB Hub and Docking Station to under $30.

The Asus ROG Ally Charger Dock is a versatile accessory that lets you connect your ROG Ally to an external monitor and use various peripherals. While the Asus ROG Ally comes with a basic charger, it does not include a docking station. The charger dock resembles a typical brick-style charger but features three ports instead of one. The USB Type-C output supports up to 60W of Power Delivery, which is near the maximum charging rate for the ROG Ally. Additionally, it includes a USB Type-A port for connecting a keyboard, mouse, or USB storage, and a 4K @ 60Hz HDMI 2.0 port for hooking up to an external TV or monitor.

Also compatible with Steam Deck

You can also use this dock to charge your Steam Deck and output its video to a larger monitor or TV. The Steam Deck supports up to 38W of USB Type-C Power Delivery, well within the 60W maximum output of the charger. The official Steam Deck docking station is priced at $79, so opting for the Asus charger offers significant savings. If you're looking for a charger dock that also serves as a stand for your Steam Deck, the following deal might be more appealing.

Anker offers a docking station compatible with both the Asus ROG Ally and Steam Deck, currently on sale for $29.74. This model features a slot designed to hold your Steam Deck or ROG Ally console. It boasts an array of ports including a USB Type-C with 100W Power Delivery, a 1Gbps ethernet port, two USB Type-A 5Gbps ports, a second USB Type-C 5Gbps port, and a 4K HDMI 2.0 port. It also includes an integrated USB Type-C cable with a 90-degree connector that easily plugs into the top of your console. Although larger than the Asus charger, the Anker docking station offers superior build quality with an aluminum shell. Note that the slot is designed for a bare Steam Deck or ROG Ally, so you might need to remove any case for it to fit.

The Windows 11 version with a Z2 Go and 32GB of RAM will launch in January 2025, starting at $729. A more budget-friendly option, featuring the same Z2 Go chip but with 16GB of RAM and your choice of Windows 11 or SteamOS, will be available in May 2025 for $599. Additionally, the Asus ROG Ally X, released in 2024, offers an enhanced gaming experience over the original ROG Ally.
