Sizzlipede Debuts at Pokémon Go's Bug Out Event

Author : Owen Apr 16,2025

The Bug Out event is making its much-anticipated return to Pokémon Go, set to run from March 26th to 30th. This event promises an exciting lineup of Bug-type Pokémon, including the debut of Sizzlipede and its evolution, Centiskorch. Players can look forward to a variety of wild encounters, raid battles, special bonuses, and engaging challenges that will keep them buzzing with excitement.

Lure Modules will be your best friend during the Bug Out event. Not only will they attract Sizzlipede, but if enough Pokémon are caught using a single Lure Module, it will also increase the number of Pokémon appearing at a PokéStop. This is a fantastic opportunity to boost your encounters and fill up your Pokédex.

In addition to the Lure Module benefits, you'll earn double XP and extra Candy for Nice Throws or better, with enhanced chances of obtaining Candy XL for trainers level 31 and above. Shiny hunters will be thrilled to know that the odds of finding Shiny Wurmple and Shiny Venipede will be higher during this event.

The wild will be teeming with Bug-types, including frequent sightings of Caterpie, Weedle, Wurmple, Nincada, Venipede, Dwebble, Joltik, Grubbin, Dewpider, and Nymble. Keep an eye out, as you might even encounter the elusive Cutiefly.

Sizzlipede will make its raid debut in one-star raids, alongside Scyther and Nincada, while Beedrill, Scizor, and Kleavor will dominate the three-star raid scene. Completing event-themed Field Research tasks will net you Mega Energy, Scatterbug Candy, and encounters with Pokémon featured in the event.

Don't miss out on the free Timed Research, which includes encounters with Shedinja, Sizzlipede, Kleavor, and more, along with a handy Lure Module. For those looking for additional rewards, the Paid Timed Research option (priced at $2 or the local equivalent) offers encounters with Heracross, Sizzlipede, and Kleavor, plus two Premium Battle Passes and an additional Lure Module.

New Collection Challenges will reward you with Stardust, XP, and Pokémon encounters, while PokéStop Showcases will spotlight event-themed Pokémon. Make sure to visit the in-game shop to grab the new Sizzlipede Boots and a Scolipede Jacket to show off your Bug Out spirit.
