Sonos Arc Soundbar Discontinued: Last Chance to Save $300

Author : Hunter May 12,2025

If you're in the market for a premium soundbar, now is the perfect time to snag a deal on the Sonos Arc, which is currently available at a significant discount. Both Amazon and Walmart are offering the Arc for just $599, a whopping $300 off its original price of $899. This is a rare opportunity, as Sonos doesn't often discount their products. The Arc has been discontinued and replaced by the new Arc Ultra, making it even more unlikely to see this model back in stock except possibly in the Refurbished section on Sonos' website.

The Arc was Sonos' flagship soundbar until the recent launch of the Arc Ultra, which is priced at $1,000 and has not yet seen any discounts. This premium 45-inch soundbar features eleven meticulously engineered internal speakers, including three tweeters and eight midwoofers, and is equipped with Dolby Atmos technology, including two dedicated height channels. The Arc is designed to seamlessly integrate with other Sonos products, making it an excellent choice for those seeking superior sound without the complexities of traditional AV setups. Additional features include an ambient light sensor, HDMI eARC, capacitive touch controls, WiFi, and a built-in microphone for voice commands.

While the Arc Ultra shares a similar design and dimensions with the Arc, being just 1.5 inches wider, 0.4 inches shorter, and 0.4 inches shallower, it boasts significant internal upgrades. The Arc Ultra contains fourteen speakers, including seven tweeters, six midwoofers, and a new Sound Motion four-motor dual-membrane woofer, delivering bigger and cleaner bass along with improved dialogue clarity. It also includes Bluetooth, a feature absent in the original Arc.

Sonos Arc Ultra Review by Nick Woodard

"With the Arc Ultra, Sonos has elevated an already top-tier soundbar with notable improvements. It offers richer sound, enhanced bass, and a more immersive experience thanks to its expanded array of drivers. The addition of Bluetooth and Android Trueplay compatibility further justifies its premium price. While there are minor criticisms and ongoing concerns with the Sonos app and other products, the Arc Ultra solidifies Sonos' position as a leader in wireless audio technology."
