Sony Releases Updates for PS5 and PS4: Details Inside

Author : Audrey Apr 13,2025

Sony has recently rolled out significant updates for both the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, enhancing user experience and functionality across their gaming consoles.

For PlayStation 5 owners, the new update, version 25.02-11.00.00, is a substantial 1.3GB download that brings several improvements. One of the key enhancements is to the Activities feature, where activity details are now fully displayed on cards, making it easier for gamers to dive into their games. Importantly, potential spoilers are still hidden, ensuring a surprise-free experience. Additionally, this update introduces support for Unicode 16.0 emojis, allowing for more expressive communication within messages.

Parental controls have also seen an update. When setting the restriction level to Late Teens or Older, the Communication and User-Generated Content option will automatically default to Restrict. However, if you had previously set your console to this level, your settings will remain as Customize, unaffected by the update.

As always, Sony has focused on improving the system software performance and stability, along with enhancing messages and usability on various screens.
