Split Fiction will be the first Hazelight game with crossplay support

Hazelight Studios continues to distinguish itself in the gaming industry with its unique approach to cooperative gameplay. Their innovative feature, where only one player needs to purchase the game for two to play together, remains a rare gem in the market, allowing Hazelight to maintain a distinctive niche. One notable limitation in their previous titles was the absence of crossplay—a feature that seemed ideal for their co-op focus.

Exciting news for fans: Hazelight's upcoming game, Split Fiction, will indeed support crossplay. The developers have officially confirmed this much-anticipated feature. Moreover, the Friend's Pass system will return, enabling two players to enjoy the game with just one copy, although both will need an EA account to play.

In a move to further engage the community, Hazelight has also announced a demo version of Split Fiction. This demo allows players to experience the game together, with the added benefit of carrying over their progress to the full version upon purchase.

Set to explore a range of diverse settings, Split Fiction centers on the theme of simple yet profound human relationships. Mark your calendars, as the game is slated for release on March 6 and will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series.
