"Sunset Hills: A Novelist

Sunset Hills is an enchanting new puzzle game available on Android, developed by Cottongame, the creators behind Reviver and Mr. Pumpkin Adventure. Staying true to their signature style, Sunset Hills is set in a beautifully crafted world bathed in soft, pastel colors, featuring vintage cityscapes and endearing humanoid dogs, all woven into heartwarming narratives.

Accompany Nico, a War Veteran, in His Journey

In Sunset Hills, you step into the shoes of Nico Grant, a novelist and former soldier. The game opens in June 794, as Nico embarks on a train journey to reconnect with his fellow ex-servicemen. It has been seven years since the war ended, and Nico is driven by an inner urge to reconnect with his old friends—Ferruccio, Doug, and Roy.

The narrative gently unfolds, revealing Nico’s past. As a child, he was introverted, more drawn to books than social interactions, often lost in his own world of imagination. Despite his small stature and unique nature, he was thrust into the war, facing bullying and struggles to keep up. Yet, Nico found solace in writing. His little notebook, initially a target for teasing, eventually became a bridge that fostered deep friendships with his squadmates, bonds that endured well beyond the war's end.

Now a published writer, Nico's journey takes him through various cities and countries by train. Each stop presents new moments and puzzles to solve, allowing players to delve deeper into Nico's life and experiences.

Sunset Hills Shows That Life after War Is Strange

Sunset Hills is a point-and-click adventure where every dialogue choice can unlock clues and progress the story. Players will pick up and combine items, solve puzzles that range from finding the right object to helping others, solving minor crimes, or even escaping from chases. The game also includes unique activities like sewing clothes, baking bread, and performing with a band, adding depth and variety to the gameplay.

The visual style of Sunset Hills is a delightful blend of hand-drawn art and 3D scenes, with Victorian-inspired architecture that adds to its charm. To get a glimpse of this captivating world, check out the game's latest trailer below.
