Unveil the Secrets of Martial Arts in "The Hidden Ones" from Tencent's Morefun Studios

Author : Nicholas Jan 18,2025

Morefun Studios' highly anticipated 3D action brawler, previously known as Hitori no Shita: The Outcast, is back! Now titled The Hidden Ones, this game promises a thrilling experience with 3D brawling, parkour, and more, slated for release in 2025.

News on the game has been scarce, but a recent update reveals a pre-alpha test in January and confirms its 2025 launch date. Set in modern-day China, the game follows Zhang Chulan, a young martial artist who discovers his grandfather's martial arts techniques are highly sought after, leading him into a world of intense conflict.

The latest gameplay trailer showcases impressive combat, including parkour-style movement, energy projectile use, and dynamic 3D brawling. Secondary protagonist Wang Ye also makes an appearance.

A Darker, Grittier Aesthetic

Information on The Hidden Ones has been difficult to find, adding to the confusion surrounding the game's multiple titles. However, initial impressions suggest a visually striking game with a darker, grittier aesthetic than many other 3D ARPGs. While not photorealistic, the style appears more grounded and intense.

The game's success will likely hinge on its ability to attract players unfamiliar with the source material.
