Snapchat's 2024 Year in Review: Your Snap Recap

Looking back on the past year? Snapchat's new 2024 Snap Recap feature offers a fun, visual summary of your 2024 memories. Unlike data-heavy year-in-review features from other platforms, Snap Recap presents a curated selection of your Snaps, one for each month.

What is a Snap Recap?

This is a new feature for 2024, showcasing a highlight reel of your Snapchat activity. Instead of detailed statistics, it chooses a representative Snap from each month, providing a nostalgic journey through your year. The Recap seamlessly integrates with Snapchat Memories, allowing you to further explore past events.

How to Access Your 2024 Snap Recap

Your 2024 Snap Recap is automatically generated. To view it:

  1. From the main camera screen, swipe up to access Memories. (Don't press the shutter button!)
  2. Your 2024 Snap Recap should be prominently displayed as a highlighted video.

Where to Find 2024 Snap Recap

Tap the Recap (avoiding the share icon) to start your personalized slideshow. The Snaps advance automatically, but you can tap the screen to navigate. You can save, edit, or share your Recap just like any other Snap.

Why Don't I Have a Snap Recap?

If your Snap Recap isn't showing up, don't worry. Snapchat is releasing them gradually. Several factors influence recap generation, including the number of saved Snaps. If you haven't used Snapchat regularly, you may not have one. Unfortunately, you can't request a recap if it doesn't appear.
