How To Get Weapon Upgrades and Ammo Mods in Jingle Hells in Black Ops 6 Zombies

Author : Anthony Jan 23,2025

Jingle Hells, the festive Black Ops 6 Zombies mode, offers a unique twist on weapon progression and upgrades. Forget the Arsenal Machine – Aether Tools are the key to weapon upgrades. This guide details how to obtain them and acquire Ammo Mods in this holiday-themed map.

Weapon Upgrades in Jingle Hells

Unlike the standard Black Ops 6 Zombies experience, Jingle Hells omits the Arsenal Machine. To upgrade your weapons, you'll need Aether Tools, consumable items with varying rarity tiers (color-coded). Using a higher-tier Aether Tool (e.g., Purple/Legendary) upgrades your weapon to that tier. Here's how to find them:

  • Church Spire: Toss a grenade at the zombie head atop the church spire. The resulting chaos yields loot, including a chance at an Aether Tool. Later rounds increase the likelihood of higher-rarity drops.
  • Bank Vault: Loot Keys unlock safety deposit boxes in the Bank Vault, offering a chance at Aether Tools of various rarities.
  • S.A.M. Trials: Completing these trials, especially aiming for the top reward tier, offers a chance to acquire Aether Tools.
  • Hidden Power GobbleGum: This instantly upgrades your weapon to Legendary rarity.
  • Mystery Box, Wall Buys, Holiday Presents: Weapons obtained from these sources increase in rarity as the rounds progress.

Obtaining Ammo Mods in Jingle Hells

Currently, Cryo Freeze is the only Ammo Mod available in Jingle Hells. It drops as a consumable item and is primarily found within Holiday Presents. These presents offer random loot, with higher-rarity items more frequent in later rounds.

Holiday Presents are obtained in several ways:

  • Enemy Kills: They sometimes drop as loot from slain enemies.
  • Naughty or Nice Power-up: This stocking-shaped power-up grants either a "Nice" or "Naughty" status. "Nice" yields multiple Holiday Presents; "Naughty" spawns numerous vermin enemies.
  • S.A.M. Machine: When active, the S.A.M. Machine spawns several Holiday Presents nearby.

Equipment and Support in Jingle Hells

The Workbench's absence means no Salvage-based equipment crafting. However, equipment and Support items (like Chopper Gunners, Mutant Injections, or Self Revives) can still be found:

  • Enemy Kills: Loot drops from regular enemies.
  • Holiday Presents: These can contain equipment.
  • Special/Elite Enemy Kills: Support items drop from these tougher foes.
  • S.A.M. Trials: These trials can reward equipment and Support.
  • Bank Vault Deposit Boxes: These boxes offer a chance at equipment and Support.
