Bandai Namco Partners with Rebel Wolves for Upcoming Dark Fantasy Action RPG, Dawnwalker

Bandai Namco Entertainment, known for publishing Elden Ring, has announced a global publishing agreement with Rebel Wolves for their debut action RPG, Dawnwalker. This exciting partnership promises to bring a new dark fantasy experience to players worldwide.

The Dawnwalker Saga Begins

Rebel Wolves, a Polish studio founded by key figures from The Witcher 3, is poised to launch Dawnwalker in 2025 on PC, PS5, and Xbox. The game is described as a story-driven AAA action-RPG set in a medieval European world, offering mature dark fantasy themes. Further details are expected in the coming months.

A Collaboration of Experience and Vision

Tomasz Tinc, Rebel Wolves' chief publishing officer, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, highlighting Bandai Namco's strong track record in publishing narrative-driven RPGs and their shared values. Alberto Gonzalez Lorca, Bandai Namco's VP of business development, emphasized Dawnwalker's importance to their Western market strategy.

A Team of Experienced Developers

Leading the charge is Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz, a CD Projekt Red veteran and lead quest designer on The Witcher 3, who serves as Rebel Wolves' creative director. Co-founder and narrative director Jakub Szamalek, also a CDPR veteran, confirms Dawnwalker as a new IP with a scope comparable to The Witcher 3's Blood and Wine expansion, promising a non-linear narrative and replayability. Tomaszkiewicz highlights the game's focus on player choice and experimentation.
