Konami's Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection: A Blast from the Past on Switch and Steam
Konami has confirmed that even more classic Yu-Gi-Oh! titles are joining the upcoming Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection for Switch and Steam. This nostalgic package celebrates the 25th anniversary of the beloved card game franchise.
Konami Unveils Expanded Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection Lineup
The Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection will bring a selection of original Game Boy era titles to modern platforms. Konami's initial announcement includes:
- Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters
- Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters II: Dark Duel Stories
- Yu-Gi-Oh! Dark Duel Stories
- Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters 4: Battle of Great Duelist
- Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters 6: Expert 2
While Duel Monsters 4: Battle of Great Duelist and Duel Monsters 6: Expert 2 were previously revealed, Konami promises a total of ten classic games will eventually be part of the collection. The full lineup will be revealed at a later date.
Modern Enhancements for Retro Gaming
Recognizing the differences between then and now, Konami is adding modern conveniences to these retro titles. The Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection will feature online battles, save/load functionality, and online support for games that originally included local co-op. Quality-of-life improvements, button customization, and background setting options are also planned.
