I'll play as Grandma. She's got a keen eye and a sharp mind, perfect for keeping that prisoner in check!
Grandma's Diary: The Great Escape Prevention
Day 1:
Oh, what a day! That pesky prisoner thinks he can outsmart me? Not on my watch! I've been around the block a few times, and I know every creak and groan of this old house. I've set up my knitting needles at the front door – a clever little trap if I do say so myself. If he tries to sneak out, he'll be tangled up faster than you can say "granny's got you!"
Day 2:
I caught him trying to jimmy the window in the kitchen! Ha! I may be old, but my hearing is as sharp as ever. I pretended to be napping in my rocking chair, but the moment I heard that window squeak, I sprang into action. A quick flick of my trusty broom handle, and the window slammed shut. He won't try that again in a hurry!
Day 3:
Today, I baked my special triple-chocolate cookies. They're irresistible, and I left a trail leading to the basement. Sure enough, he followed the scent like a moth to a flame. Once he was down there, I locked the door. "Enjoy your snack, dearie," I called down. He's not going anywhere for a while!
Day 4:
He tried to use the old laundry chute as an escape route. Clever, but not clever enough. I've been using that chute for decades, and I knew just how to rig it. A little bit of string and some old clothes, and he slid right back down into the laundry room. I gave him a stern talking-to about respecting his elders and the importance of staying put.
Day 5:
The prisoner's getting crafty, I'll give him that. He tried to disguise himself with my old wigs and scarves. But nobody can pull off my floral headscarf like I can! I spotted him from a mile away. A quick chase around the garden, and I had him cornered by the rose bushes. "You're not going anywhere, young man," I said, shaking my cane. He's back in the house, and I've got my eye on him.
Day 6:
I've set up a perimeter of yarn around the house. If he so much as touches it, my knitting alarm will go off. It's a silent alarm, but it alerts me to any movement. He tried to sneak out again tonight, but the yarn did its job. I caught him red-handed, trying to untangle himself. "Nice try, but you're staying right here," I told him. He's learning that Grandma's house is escape-proof!
Day 7:
It's been a week, and the prisoner hasn't managed to get past me yet. I've got my knitting, my broom, and my wits – the perfect combination for keeping him in check. He's given up trying to escape and is now helping me with my chores. Maybe he'll learn a thing or two about respect and responsibility before he leaves.
Grandma's got everything under control. That prisoner isn't going anywhere!
