How to Play Rummy (रमी): A Beginner's Guide
Rummy rules are straightforward, easily mastered after a few games. The 13-card rummy game involves 2-5 players, each dealt 13 cards. The goal is to form sequences (runs) and sets using all 13 cards. A valid declaration requires at least two sequences, one of which must be a pure sequence (1st life). The second sequence can be pure or impure (2nd life). At least one of the sequences must have four cards.
Rummy Game Variants:
- 21 Cards Rummy: Form sets or sequences of 3 pure sequences, 3 tunnels separated by groups of 3. Eight dublees can be arranged in separate groups, and eight jokers can be arranged together.
- 13 Cards Points Rummy: 2-5 players; 2 decks for 2-3 players, 3 decks for 4-5 players. Points are calculated after a valid declaration, with points added for un-used cards. A player can lose up to 80 points per game based on predetermined rupee values.
