Scanwords in Russian are truly a unique phenomenon, unmatched in any other language. They are filled with literary questions, humor, and contemporary world context, turning what might seem like simple crosswords into a rich tapestry of language. The Russian people have a deep connection with words, valuing and cherishing them as something precious.
Our application offers a diverse range of scanwords, from simpler to more complex ones, featuring photographs and classic or associative questions. You'll find formats like "one word" or "one word, two words," reminiscent of Elder Fur's tips. Each magazine includes one English-Russian scanword and one "holey" scanword - the name will become clear once you try it. Each page is greeted by a character from our cheerful family. All scanwords are available to readers at no cost. This is an annual collection, featuring 52-53 issues with 20 scanwords each. The complete annual collection will take up approximately 50 MB on your device - the images are small, and the text is straightforward. We understand the importance of conserving space on your phone.
You don't need an internet connection to solve the puzzles, provided the scanwords are already downloaded to your device. A new magazine issue is released every Friday. If you've kept the "notification" option enabled, you'll receive a reminder about the new issue at 12:00 local time on Fridays. Upon opening the app, the new issue downloads automatically and won't repeat if successful. Additionally, you can download or delete any magazine individually on your device, or use the "Settings" to download all magazines with one click.
The main features, including access to all scanwords, are free for readers within the app. Advertising supports this offering, with advertisers allowed one narrow banner per page and one interstitial ad before opening a scanword. Our advertisers respect your solving experience and do not interrupt it. They also reward you with free hints for watching their videos.
Readers have the option, but not the obligation, to manage their interaction with ads by: a) permanently disabling ads, b) subscribing to remove ads for the subscription period and receive unlimited hints, or c) collecting hints in bulk. These options are clearly displayed in the "Shop".
