Marvel Rivals Debuts Darkhold Battle Pass for Season 1

Marvel Rivals Season 1: Eternal Night Falls – A Dark and Bloody Battle Pass

Get ready for Marvel Rivals Season 1, launching January 10th at 1 AM PST! This new season, "Eternal Night Falls," plunges players into a dark, gothic atmosphere dominated by Dracula, with a thrilling storyline featuring Doctor Strange's capture and the Fantastic Four's heroic counterattack.

The Season 1 battle pass, priced at 990 Lattice (approximately $10), offers a wealth of rewards. Complete the pass to earn 600 Lattice and 600 Units, usable for future cosmetics or battle passes. The pass itself boasts 10 exclusive skins, plus sprays, nameplates, emotes, and MVP animations. Even if unfinished by season's end, the pass remains accessible for completion.

A Closer Look at the Season 1 Skins:

The battle pass features a striking array of character skins, each reflecting the season's dark theme:

  • Loki: All-Butcher
  • Moon Knight: Blood Moon Knight
  • Rocket Raccoon: Bounty Hunter
  • Peni Parker: Blue Tarantula
  • Magneto: King Magnus (House of M inspired)
  • Namor: Savage Sub-Mariner
  • Iron Man: Blood Edge Armor (Dark Souls-esque)
  • Adam Warlock: Blood Soul
  • Scarlet Witch: Emporium Matron
  • Wolverine: Blood Berserker (Van Helsing inspired)

The overall aesthetic is decidedly grim, highlighted by a blood moon hanging over a New York City shrouded in shadows. New maps share this ominous vibe, and even the character designs, like Loki's All-Butcher and Moon Knight's Blood Moon Knight skins, contribute to the dark and brooding atmosphere.

No Fantastic Four Skins in the Battle Pass?

While the battle pass is packed with content, the absence of skins for the newly introduced Fantastic Four (Invisible Woman and Mister Fantastic) has surprised some fans. These characters will debut in Season 1, but their cosmetic items will be available separately through the in-game shop.

Despite this minor point, anticipation is high for Season 1's launch. The dark theme, impressive skin designs, and the promise of more to come from NetEase Games have players eagerly awaiting the next chapter in Marvel Rivals.
