Pokemon Fan Creates Convergent Forms For Ralts

An inventive Pokemon fan has created new convergent forms for Ralts, in which each gender has its own design. Pokemon fans always use concepts established by the franchise to give life to their creativity. One of these recurrently explored ideas is convergent form, a new concept within the Pokemon universe.

With Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Game Freak introduced fans to convergent Pokemon. According to the definition, these Pokemon have an ecological similarity, which makes their design similar, but they are different species. Found across Paldea and Kitakami there are six convergent Pokemon, namely Toedscool, Toedscruel, Wiglett, Wugtrio, Poltchageist, and Sinistcha, the convergent forms of Tentacool, Tentacruel, Diglett, Dugtrio, Polteageist, and Sinistea. The concept of convergent Pokemon inspires creative fan art from the community, such as an artwork recently shared by a Pokemon fan.

Twitter user OnduRegion shared an inventive concept where they imagine two convergent forms for Ralts. Called Salts, the convergent form of the adorable Psychic/Fairy-type Pokemon created by the artist has a female and male variant. The convergent form of the female Ralts has the design of a mermaid whose bowl cut has a starfish stuck in it, and fans can see the Pokemon's eyes. The convergent form of the male Ralts has a different colored tail, and its bowl cut has fins similar to a shark's, and unlike female Ralts, its face is covered.

Creative Pokemon Fan Art Turns Ralts into a Water-Type Pokemon

Along with the designs of the convergent forms, OnduRegion has shared with fans information about its artwork, such as the abilities and stats of the two Pokemon. The female convergent Ralts is a Water/Psychic-type Pokemon that, according to its Dex entry, lures humans it meets in the ocean to steal their belongings. The male convergent Ralts is an interesting Water/Dark-type Pokemon that has a habit of biting hard objects to strengthen its teeth and is a stubborn and clumsy critter.

That isn't the first time OnduRegion has impressed the Pokemon community with their work, having previously shared impressive Pokemon fan art with new forms for Charcadet, a new evolution for Hawlucha, and impressive Paradox Forms for Mewtwo X and Y. Like the artist's other work, Ralts' convergent forms stand out for their creative design that doesn't stray from the Pokemon style. Coupled with the lore that they always write for their designs, it's not hard for Pokemon fans to imagine what it would be like if Ralts got convergent forms.
