Notably, the photo of the black variant shows an Xbox button positioned to the left of the thumbstick, although it lacks the iconic 'X'. While detailed tech specs are still under wraps, it's unclear whether there are significant differences between the black and white models.
According to Windows Central's Jez Corden, these devices are currently undergoing testing at Microsoft's headquarters, and a public reveal might be scheduled around May 20. Corden shared the leak on X/Twitter, stirring further interest in the project.
