The acclaimed duo of writer Greg Rucka and artist Nicola Scott, who brought us the definitive modern take on Wonder Woman's origin in *Wonder Woman: Year One*, are set to captivate fans once again with a fresh narrative in the DC Universe. Their new venture, *Cheetah and Cheshire Rob the Justice League*, promises a thrilling heist saga that showcases the dynamic between two of DC's most intriguing villains.

This exciting new six-issue series is part of the ongoing DC All In initiative. While the pairing of Cheetah and Cheshire may seem unexpected, it ties back to the creators' past works. Rucka prominently featured Cheetah in his two Wonder Woman runs, and Scott brought Cheshire to life in her original *Secret Six* series with writer Gail Simone.

According to DC's official synopsis:

*Cheetah and Cheshire Rob the Justice League* showcases the titular characters meticulously planning and executing a bold heist—robbing the most secure facility in the DC Universe—and getting away with it! To achieve the impossible, Cheetah and Cheshire must assemble a top-tier crew capable of outsmarting not just the odds, but the Justice League themselves. Their mission is to acquire one of the most dangerous devices in the DCU, all while navigating the treacherous waters of potential betrayal within their ranks.

Standing between them and the most daring extraction in DC history are formidable obstacles, including the most sophisticated orbital platform ever constructed, its AI-driven security system, and, of course, the smartest and most powerful heroes in the DCU.

“I won’t bury the lede,” Rucka stated. “This is a crew of villains, or at least nominal bad guys. Not one of them has access to—let alone would be welcomed aboard—the Justice League Watchtower. We’re not making this easy on them. But for Cheetah especially, this is an all-or-nothing play—she needs to do this job, and she’s not going to let anything, or anyone, keep her from getting what she’s after.”

Play*Cheetah and Cheshire Rob the Justice League #1* is slated for release on August 6, 2025.

In other comic book news, Marvel's new *Thunderbolts* series is being rebranded as *The New Avengers*, aligning with the MCU.
