Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero Set for Nintendo Switch 2, Hints Saudi Ratings Board

Author : Lucy May 14,2025

Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero has been rated for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, hinting at its arrival on the new console even before an official announcement. While we still await confirmation that this game, inspired by Akira Toriyama's beloved anime and manga series, will be available on the Switch 2, a now-deleted tweet from the Saudi General Authority of Media Regulation, shared on the Gaming Leaks and Rumours subreddit, suggests otherwise.

The tweet, before its removal, stated: "Experience the fighting action in the latest game Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero. Available on Nintendo Switch 2, featuring 3D battles and storylines that change based on your choices," and confirmed that the game had received a 12+ rating.

PlayDragon Ball: Sparking! Zero elevates the iconic gameplay of the Budokai Tenkaichi series to new heights, offering "an incredible number" of playable characters, each with unique abilities, transformations, and techniques.

Our IGN Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero review awarded it a 7/10, noting: "Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero is a final flash from the past, sometimes to a fault, but the feeling of traveling back to a simpler time when games didn’t have to be balanced or competitive to be fun is still a good one."

Pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 opened on April 24, maintaining a price tag of $449.99, and they sold out rapidly, as expected. On the same day, Nintendo issued a warning to U.S. customers who pre-ordered from the My Nintendo Store, stating that release date delivery could not be guaranteed due to high demand.
