Getting Your Horse Back in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
The good news is, you can reclaim your original horse, Pebbles, in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Head to the southern town of Semine and seek out the horse trader NPC. However, retrieving Pebbles isn't as straightforward as you might hope. The trader won't just hand over your beloved horse; you'll need to negotiate.
You have a few options here: you can pay the trader in Groschen, or you can attempt to persuade or intimidate him into relinquishing Pebbles. In my playthrough, I followed the main questline, which led me to work with Radovan the blacksmith. This path allowed me to acquire new clothes for Henry, enhancing his appearance to mimic nobility. With this disguise, I managed to convince the horse trader to return Pebbles without payment, albeit at the cost of a slight reputation hit in Semine.
If your persuasion efforts fall flat, be prepared to pay up in Groschen to reunite with Pebbles.
How to Steal a Horse
If you're feeling a bit more daring, you can opt to steal a horse. Wild horses aren't commonly roaming the fields in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, so you'll need to target farms or stables. A good spot to start is Vidlak Pond in the west, where you'll find a farmhouse owned by fishermen. They keep two horses that you can mount and ride away with.
Once you've secured your stolen horse, make your way to the Nomads’ Camp just east of Vidlak Pond. There, you can speak with the horse trainer NPC who will teach you how to properly saddle and tame your new mount. Keep in mind, though, that this service comes at a cost.
Alternatively, if you're confident in your riding skills, you can choose to skip the trainer and ride your horse as is.
