Mecha BREAK recently wrapped up its open beta, and in response to player feedback, the developers are exploring the possibility of making all mechs available from the start. Discover how the team is evaluating this suggestion and what changes may be on the horizon.
Mecha BREAK Developers Evaluating Free Access to All Mechs
The multiplayer mech shooter Mecha BREAK completed its Steam open beta on March 16, drawing strong participation with a peak concurrent player count exceeding 300,000. Currently ranked as the 5th most wishlisted game on Steam, the title has sparked considerable interest within the gaming community.
In response to early player feedback, Chinese developer Amazing Seasun is examining potential adjustments—particularly around the availability of Break Strikers (mechs) and the balance of mech modules in both 3v3 and 6v6 competitive formats. While no final decisions have been made, the studio remains committed to a live service model at launch, emphasizing its importance for long-term sustainability.
At present, players begin the game with access to just one Break Striker, with the remaining 11 needing to be unlocked via in-game currency or purchases. This often involves extended playtime across multiple matches, delaying full mech access for newer players.
