Microsoft Unveils Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Wave 2 Titles

Microsoft has unveiled the exciting lineup for Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Wave 2, just ahead of their Xbox Developer Direct event on January 23. This event promises to showcase several day one Game Pass titles, including eagerly anticipated games like Doom: The Dark Ages, South of Midnight, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and a yet-to-be-revealed fourth title.

Starting today, January 21, subscribers can dive into Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S), available on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. This day one release invites players to master the snowy slopes in a thrilling follow-up to Lonely Mountains: Downhill, now featuring cross-platform multiplayer for up to eight players. Whether you're racing to the base or navigating checkpoints as a team, the game promises endless fun and challenges.

On January 22, Flock (Console) joins Game Pass Standard, offering a delightful multiplayer co-op experience where players can soar through stunning landscapes and collect adorable flying creatures with friends. Also on the same day, Gigantic: Rampage Edition (Cloud, Console, and PC) becomes available across Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard. This definitive release of the 5v5 MOBA hero shooter brings dynamic team-based action, allowing players to choose from a diverse roster of heroes and engage in intense battles.

January 22 continues to be packed with new additions, including Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess (Console) on Game Pass Standard, a unique Japanese-inspired action strategy game set on a mountain plagued by defilement. Players will purify villages by day and defend against hordes by night in a captivating cycle. Also launching on the same day are Magical Delicacy (Console), Tchia (Xbox Series X|S), and The Case of the Golden Idol (Console), all available on Game Pass Standard. Rounding out the day, Starbound (Cloud and Console) arrives on Game Pass Ultimate and Game Pass Standard, having already been released on PC Game Pass.

On January 28, Eternal Strands (Cloud, Console, and PC) launches as a day one title on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. This debut fantasy game from Yellow Brick Games combines magical abilities with powerful weapons in a third-person action-adventure setting. Also on January 28, Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) hits Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, offering an action-packed shooter and trap defense experience with rogue-lite elements.

January 29 sees the release of Shady Part of Me (Cloud, Console, and PC) across Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard. This emotional journey features stunning artistic direction and a compelling narrative, guiding players through surreal dreamscapes as a little girl and her shadow.

On January 30, Sniper Elite: Resistance (Cloud, Console, and PC) launches as a day one title on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. This game brings the acclaimed series' sniping mechanics and tactical combat to a hidden war in occupied France, with full campaign co-op support.

Closing out January, Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) arrives on January 31 as a day one release on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. This sequel to the acclaimed RPG offers a dice-driven experience in a heartfelt sci-fi world, where players navigate the Starward Belt as an escaped android.

Finally, on February 4, Far Cry New Dawn (Cloud, Console, and PC) joins Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard. Set in a vibrant, post-apocalyptic Hope County, Montana, players will lead the fight against the Highwaymen in a transformed world.
