School Hero takes you to the mean streets of Japanese high school to rescue your girlfriend

High school can be a really stressful experience for virtually everyone involved. But hey, look at it this way, at least you don't need to punch and pummel your way through hordes of enemy students to save the day, which is exactly what you're doing in the anime-styled retro brawler, School Hero!

School Hero is a sidescrolling beat 'em up in the classic style, where you take on hordes of enemy students and beat and brawl your way to victory. In this side-scrolling 2D brawler, you play as the titular boy named Hero, on a mission to save his girlfriend from a rival school. Along the way, you'll face off against everyone from nerds to football players, cheerleaders, and more in your quest to rescue her.

Despite treading familiar ground, School Hero has several appealing features. The game boasts a variety of levels and enemies, essential for keeping the beat 'em up genre fresh and exciting. Additionally, a suite of minigames offers a fun break from the constant brawling, adding depth and variety to your gameplay experience.

While it may follow well-trodden paths, it offers enough in terms of adaptable gameplay, an engaging storyline, and additional features to keep players engaged.

Oh, and don't worry—controller support is included, enhancing your gaming experience.
