"Songs of Conquest Launches on iOS and Android with HOMM-Style Strategy"

Author : Daniel Apr 01,2025

Among my most eagerly awaited mobile game releases, Songs of Conquest stands out prominently. Although its spiritual predecessor, Heroes of Might & Magic, predates my time, the blend of RPG-like action, strategic rock-paper-scissors mechanics, and deep strategy is undeniably captivating.

Songs of Conquest, a hex-based strategy game, has just launched on iOS and Android. In this game, you command stacks of infantry, monsters, and other units, striving to outmaneuver and defeat your opponent's forces. Utilize the terrain and harness the power of arcane arts to gain the upper hand in battle.

The game is beautifully rendered in 2.5D and introduces four factions at launch: the necromantic kingdom of Loth, the remnant empire of Arleon, the ancient frog tribes of Rana, and the mercenary merchants of Barya. Each faction comes with unique traits, strengths, and weaknesses that you must master and exploit to succeed.

Beyond the familiar hex-based battles reminiscent of Heroes of Might & Magic, Songs of Conquest offers a visually stunning world to explore, along with equipment to enhance your capabilities. The game features four distinct campaigns, each showcasing the titular Songs of Conquest of the different factions as you build your empire through strategic gameplay.

For a one-time purchase of just $11.99, you can dive into this fantasy world filled with strategy, magic, and epic battles. With four DLCs already released for the mainline version, there's a wealth of upcoming content to look forward to.
