Sonic Dream Team gets new Shadow Levels update, out now

Author : Claire Mar 28,2025

Get ready, Sonic Dream Team fans! A major new update is rolling out, spotlighting the beloved Shadow the Hedgehog with more levels to explore. And just in time for the weekend, this update isn't just about Shadow; it brings a host of exciting new features to enhance your gaming experience.

Dive into three new stages and tackle a fresh mission type in Adventure, all tailored to showcase Shadow's unique skills. Introduced last December, Shadow's presence in Sonic Dream Team is getting even more robust with this update, promising deeper gameplay and more thrilling challenges.

But the fun doesn't stop there! The update also introduces a variety of new interactable objects, including trampolines, phased platforms, and tightrope springs. These additions will not only diversify your gameplay but also help you master the art of Chaos Shift to cleanse the Dream of corruption and battle the encroaching Nightmares.

Shadow the Hedgehog in Sonic Dream Team

Shadow's resurgence in popularity, boosted by Keanu Reeves' iconic voice, has been a significant factor in the game's appeal. Since Sega's acquisition of Rovio in 2023, their mobile game offerings have seen a notable uptick. While Sonic Dream Team predates this acquisition, its success has undoubtedly influenced Sega's strategy for future mobile titles.

Looking ahead, the upcoming Sonic Rumble—a battle royale-style multiplayer game—presents a bold departure from the classic Sonic gameplay that Sonic Dream Team emulates. Whether this will be a successful pivot or a misstep remains to be seen, but it's certainly on my radar.

In the meantime, why not explore the latest top five new mobile games to try this week? There's a whole world of new launches from the past seven days waiting for you to discover and enjoy!
