Saber Interactive has reassured fans that all its previously announced games remain in active development, despite the ongoing silence surrounding high-profile projects such as the much-anticipated Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR) remake. This affirmation comes hot on the heels of the announcement of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3, further solidifying the studio's commitment to its lineup.
Saber Chief Creative Officer Tim Willits took to social media to address the concerns of the gaming community. "Saber Interactive is one of the largest independent developers in the world," Willits stated. "We are working on numerous games across many different genres. Everything that we have talked about is still in development. We will share information on upcoming games when we have something cool to share."

The most obvious focus of Willits’ statement is the KOTOR remake, which remains one of the most elusive and eagerly awaited projects in gaming. Initially announced in 2021, the remake has faced numerous setbacks, including changes in development teams and periods of apparent stagnation. Despite these challenges, the project has not been abandoned. In April 2024, Saber Interactive CEO Matthew Karch confirmed that the KOTOR remake was taken by Saber during its split from Embracer Group and is still in active development. "It's clear and it's obvious that we're working on this," Karch stated at the time. "It's been in the press numerous times. What I will say is that the game is alive and well, and we're dedicated to making sure we exceed consumer expectations."
Willits’ recent statement, nearly a year after Karch's comments, reaffirms that the KOTOR remake is still very much in the works. However, despite these reassurances, fans have yet to see any updates beyond the initial announcement trailer.
In addition to the KOTOR remake, Saber Interactive is diligently working on several other titles. Games such as John Carpenter's Toxic Commando and Jurassic Park Survival are slated for release in 2025, though specific dates have yet to be announced. The studio is also developing a brand new Turok game and an untitled project based on Avatar: The Last Airbender. With the recent addition of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3 to their portfolio, Saber Interactive continues to expand its offerings.
