Xbox Game Pass Confirms May 2025 Wave 1 Lineup

Microsoft has announced the exciting Wave 1 lineup for Xbox Game Pass in May 2025, featuring a diverse selection of 12 games set to be available up to May 20. The highlight of this wave is undoubtedly Doom: The Dark Ages, the latest installment in id Software's iconic first-person shooter series. As a Microsoft-owned title, it will be available on Game Pass from day one, promising an intense medieval war against Hell.

Starting today, May 6, subscribers can dive into Dredge (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S), which will be accessible on Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard. This single-player fishing adventure delves into mysterious depths, offering a unique blend of exploration and eerie secrets.

On May 7, Game Pass will see a flurry of additions. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 (Cloud, Console, and PC) will be available on Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard, allowing fans to join the battle in the Dragon Ball universe. Dungeons of Hinterberg (Console) and Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn (Xbox Series X|S) will also join Game Pass Standard, providing engaging adventures and action-packed gameplay. Additionally, Metal Slug Tactics (Console) will be accessible on Game Pass Standard, bringing the beloved franchise into a tactical realm.

May 8 brings two new day-one titles: Revenge of the Savage Planet (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, where players explore a dangerous alien world to get revenge on their former employer, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed (Cloud, Console, and PC) on Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard, offering a new adventure with the iconic Turtle brothers.

On May 13, Warhammer: Vermintide 2 (Cloud and Console) returns to Game Pass Ultimate and Game Pass Standard, inviting players to fight against the forces of Chaos and Skaven in cooperative gameplay.

The main event arrives on May 15 with Doom: The Dark Ages (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S), available day-one on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. This prequel to Doom (2016) and Doom Eternal promises a cinematic medieval war against Hell, with options for early access and additional content through the Premium Upgrade.

Following closely on May 16, Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo (Cloud, Console, and PC) launches as another day-one title on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, offering a unique papercraft adventure in the mystical world of Limbo.

The Wave 1 lineup concludes on May 20 with Firefighting Simulator: The Squad and Police Simulator: Patrol Officers (both Cloud, Console, and PC), available across Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard, providing immersive simulation experiences.
