Zelda: ToTK Player Crafts Functional Airship

A remarkably creative Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom player has engineered a fully functional cruiser using only Zonai devices. The game's robust building system, allowing players to combine planks, Zonai devices, and shrine-acquired items, has spawned a plethora of player-built vehicles, ranging from simple rafts to sophisticated, remote-controlled aircraft. Players are pushing the boundaries of this system, even transforming their creations into formidable war machines.

Early vehicle construction is highly recommended; traversing Hyrule on horseback is significantly time-consuming. Planes and ground vehicles drastically accelerate exploration, especially given the expanded map of Tears of the Kingdom, which includes the Depths and Sky Islands – making comprehensive exploration without a custom vehicle nearly impossible.

Reddit user ryt1314059 showcased an exceptionally agile and fast cruiser. This impressive warship boasts two automatically targeting Zonai cannons, enabling swift maneuvering in water despite its substantial size. Construction utilizes readily available materials: planks, cannons, fans, homing carts, a battery, and railings – all found near the game's Construct Factory.

A Player-Built Warship in Tears of the Kingdom

The cruiser's design cleverly incorporates railings connecting cannons and planks, enhancing maneuverability and torque for effortless coastal exploration. Zonai fans, acting as propellers, provide wind-powered thrust between the planks. These components, excluding railings, are obtainable from the game's device dispensers.

Tears of the Kingdom offers a diverse range of Zonai devices – fans, hover stones, steering sticks, and more – each contributing unique functionality to player-built contraptions. These devices, crucial for solving puzzles scattered across Hyrule, are easily acquired via Zonai charge-operated gachapon machines prevalent on the Sky Islands.

Beyond Zonai devices and shrine rewards, powerful abilities such as Ultrahand, Recall, and Fuse provide further creative construction options. Unlocked through shrine completion, these abilities facilitate the building of complex structures and the attachment of items to weapons and shields.
