Control 2 Among Annapurna Interactive Video Games Seemingly Unaffected by Company’s Mass Resignation

Annapurna Interactive's recent mass staff resignation sparked concerns about the future of its projects. However, several high-profile titles appear unaffected.

Following the mass resignation, developers reassured fans about the continued development of their games. Remedy Entertainment confirmed that their agreement for Control 2, including related rights, is with Annapurna Pictures, and that Remedy is self-publishing, ensuring development proceeds as planned. Davey Wreden and Team Ivy Road similarly confirmed that Wanderstop remains on schedule for release. Matt Newell's Lushfoil Photography Sim, nearing completion, also appears unaffected, though the team acknowledged the loss of working with Annapurna Interactive. Beethoven & Dinosaur also stated that Mixtape development continues.

While some projects, like Control 2 and Wanderstop, have received positive updates, uncertainty remains for others. No Code's Silent Hill: Downfall, Furcula's Morsels, Great Ape Games' The Lost Wild, Dinogod's Bounty Star, and the internally developed Blade Runner 2033: Labyrinth haven't received public updates regarding their status.

Annapurna Pictures CEO Megan Ellison pledged continued support for its developer partners. The future of many projects remains unclear, but many developers have expressed confidence in their ability to complete their games despite the upheaval at Annapurna Interactive.
