Score Sheet Scanner for Digitizing Chess Games

Scan your score sheets to digitize your games.

Effortlessly extract text from your score sheets to generate digital chess games. An intuitive overview displays the score sheet alongside the generated moves, allowing you to quickly spot and correct any misrecognized moves using helpful move suggestions.

Once your game is digitized, you can categorize it into a tournament, analyze it on platforms like Lichess or Chess.com, or export it as a PGN file.

Scanning the Score Sheets

Capture your score sheets using the built-in scanner or select them from your gallery. Our advanced technology directly extracts the text from the image.

For tournament directors, specifying score sheets for both White and Black players is a breeze. When generating the game, both versions are taken into account, and up to two score sheets can be specified per player.

Generate Game

Instantly generate your game right after scanning the score sheets. Alternatively, you can manually overlay the move grid for precise control.

Supported Notations

  • English: N/B/R/Q/K
  • German: S/L/T/D/K
  • Dutch: P/L/T/D/K
  • Spanish / Italian: C/A/T/D/R
  • French: C/F/T/D/R
  • Portuguese: C/B/T/D/R
  • Czech / Slovak: J/S/V/D/K

Other notations can also be specified, though text recognition might be less accurate as they are analyzed based on a model of already supported notations.

Game Generation

To generate your game, the score sheets are securely sent to our servers. The time required varies based on the legibility of the score sheet, game length, and your internet connection, typically ranging from 1 to 10 seconds.

Overview of the Generated Game

The game overview displays the score sheet columns with the corresponding generated moves. The background color of each move indicates its recognition confidence. Tapping on a move directs you to the chess position, where move alternatives are suggested for easy correction.

Move Suggestions

If moves are misrecognized, you can swiftly correct them using our move suggestions, which are sorted by probability. Further refine your choices using a piece-specific filter. After corrections, regenerate the game from the current move.

Moves Crossed Out or Forgotten on the Score Sheet?

No worries! In the game overview, you can skip or insert moves and then regenerate the game with your updates.

Game Data

Enhance your game by adding player and tournament data, as well as additional details via a description field.

Overview & Filtering of Games

View all entered games in a comprehensive overview. Filter them by tournament, round, and favorites, or use the search field to find games by players or game descriptions.

*Exporting Games ()**

Export filtered or individual games as PGN files. Customize the PGN export in the settings to include data like tournament, round, and date.

Importing Games

Import additional games into the app using PGN files.

*Analyze Games ()**

Open your games directly on Lichess and Chess.com for in-depth analysis.
