CS2 incoming: Halo Infinite Set to Launch S&D Extraction Mode with Deep Economic Mechanics

Even though Halo Infinite might not be stealing the spotlight from other titles, the game continues to evolve with new content updates. The latest addition, a competitive game mode called S&D Extraction, is set to inject a new level of strategic depth into the gameplay, offering fans a fresh and engaging experience.

Drawing inspiration from Valve's iconic Counter-Strike, S&D Extraction brings its own unique flavor to the table. In this mode, teams of four players face off, with one team designated as attackers and the other as defenders. The attackers' mission is to plant a device at a designated point, while the defenders must prevent this from happening. After each round, teams switch roles, keeping the gameplay dynamic. Victory is secured by winning six rounds.

A key feature of S&D Extraction is its robust economic system. At the start of each round, players can buy equipment using in-game currency earned through completing objectives. The prices of items aren't static; they fluctuate based on the team's performance throughout the match. All purchased gear disappears at the end of each round, adding a layer of strategic decision-making. The cost of items is influenced by their effectiveness and power potential within a round, with more potent gear commanding a higher price. Players will find cheaper options available in the early rounds, more expensive items mid-match, and potentially even costlier gear towards the end if they've saved their earnings wisely. Additionally, there's an option to pay for a respawn after being eliminated, adding another strategic element to the game.

Set to launch in 2025, S&D Extraction promises to deliver a dynamic and engaging competitive experience that Halo Infinite fans are sure to appreciate.
