The PSN outage impacted not only online multiplayer games but also single-player titles requiring server authentication or a persistent internet connection. Several third-party publishers have extended in-game events or limited-time modes affected by the outage. Capcom extended its Monster Hunter Wilds beta test, and EA extended a major event in FIFA 25.
Sony's limited communication, consisting of only two tweets acknowledging the outage and its resolution, has left many customers dissatisfied and demanding further explanation and reassurance.
