CoD: Black Ops 6 Patch Reverses Zombie Update

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Update Reverses Controversial Zombies Change

Treyarch has responded to player feedback and rolled back a recent change to Black Ops 6's Zombies Directed Mode. The January 3rd update introduced alterations to zombie spawn delays, impacting gameplay and frustrating many players. This latest update, released January 9th, reverses that decision, restoring the spawn delay to its previous state (approximately 20 seconds after five looped rounds).

This update also includes several improvements:

  • Directed Mode Bug Fixes: Numerous glitches and bugs affecting quest progression and stamp functionality within Citadelle des Morts' Directed Mode have been addressed. Issues with visual effects and crashes related to the Void Sheath Augment for Aether Shroud have also been resolved.
  • Shadow Rift Ammo Mod Buffs: The Shadow Rift Ammo Mod receives significant buffs, increasing activation rates for normal, special, and elite enemies (with Big Game Augment). The cooldown timer has also been reduced by 25%.
  • Citadelle des Morts Map Fixes: The update tackles visual effect glitches on the Citadelle des Morts map.

Beyond Zombies, the January 9th update includes:

  • Global Fixes: Addresses issues with Maya's "Joyride" Operator Skin visibility and visual problems in the Events tab, along with audio fixes for event milestone banners.
  • Multiplayer Fixes: Increases XP rewards in Red Light, Green Light mode and implements various stability improvements.
  • Dead Light, Green Light LTM Adjustments: Adds Liberty Falls to the map selection and increases the round cap to 20.

Looking Ahead:

Further bug fixes and updates are planned for the launch of Black Ops 6 Season 2 on January 28th. This includes resolving remaining issues like the Vermin double-attack bug. Players still have time to complete the Citadelle des Morts main quest before Season 1 Reloaded concludes.

Characters:

  • Resolved an issue where Maya’s “Joyride” Operator Skin was invisible beyond 70 meters.

UI:

  • Fixed visual issues within the Events tab.

Audio:

  • Resolved an audio issue affecting in-game event milestone banners.

MULTIPLAYER

Modes:

  • Red Light, Green Light: Increased match bonus XP.

Stability:

  • Implemented various stability fixes.

ZOMBIES

Maps:

  • Citadelle des Morts:
    • Fixed a crash issue caused by using the Void Sheath Augment with Elemental Swords.
    • Resolved an issue causing visual effects to disappear.
    • Directed Mode:
      • Corrected guidance issues related to player disconnections and stamp spawning.
      • Fixed an issue where picking up Solais after a stamp prevented quest progression.

Modes:

  • Directed Mode: Reverted the extended time between rounds and zombie spawn delay after five looped rounds.

Ammo Mods:

  • Shadow Rift:
    • Activation Rates: Increased activation rates for normal, special, and elite enemies (with Big Game Augment).
    • Cooldown Timer: Reduced cooldown by 25%.

LTM Highlights / Adjustments:

  • Dead Light, Green Light: Added Liberty Falls and increased the round cap to 20.

Stability:
